First, communication was very difficult; most of the group were international students whose English was not perfect. Sometimes I had to send a lot of messages and they responded, most of them didn't even check their emails; I would schedule meetings and no one would show up; and worst of all, they didn't even read the worksheet, so most of the time we met, they didn't know what we were supposed to do. I felt like I should be a teacher rather than a student. In our meeting, instead of starting work right away, I had to spend a lot of time explaining things they should already know. Perhaps worst of all was that 50 percent of my grades depended on them. I guess they didn't even know the grade grids since they didn't read the homework sheet. For the individual part of the project, the professor would give me 100%, but the grade of my group members would reduce my overall grade. Overall, I enjoy both positive and negative experiences; the good ones I'd like to relive, but the bad ones I just want to use as a learning experience. These experiences will ultimately make me a better group member or perhaps a better leader. But one thing is certain, I learned from these experiences: communication and childlikeness are essential
