These children acquire “a less flexible state of equilibrium” (Gaskill 37). They then become poorly socialized and have emotional and physical health problems. He gets his information from mental health patients. The article discusses the studies of two other authors. I don't find the document as useful because it basically discusses two other articles in the document itself. Personally, I think this article will be too useful. Yes, he explains the relationship between early childhood trauma and mental illness, but he will only talk about mental illness. The author also concluded that a person who was sexually assaulted when young was more likely to commit sex crimes. Their research also reveals that people who were sexually assaulted when they were young were more likely to be arrested for prostitution..
