This essay will address the issue of migration. Migration is a movement made by humans from one place to another. There are two types of migration, immigration and emigration. Immigration is a movement of people into one country and emigration is a movement of humans who wish to leave two countries, voluntarily or involuntarily. Economic, religious, educational and social problems are reasons for migration. Humanity often migrates to modern, rich and multicultural countries, cities with strong economies and good standards of living such as Prague, Germany, London, Los Angeles, New York and Shanghai. I would like to take inspiration from the city of Shanghai. Shanghai is one of the most developed cities in terms of economy, as many people come to the city to find work. Between 1983 and 2000, the number of migrant workers increased from 0.5 million to 3.87 million people. A significant percentage of migrant workers work in the manufacturing sector (25.8%). 19.6% and 13.9% of people earn money in construction and trade, respectively.
