Essay / Tolkien's love of mythology and his idea of creating a new language led him to create Middle English stories and tales set in Old England. Tolkien was always interested in academics because it provided him with a sense of stability. He loved learning and using his teaching and writing skills to make money. He is known for his dramatic recitations of Old English verse. (Jones 16) Many literary authors and writers were historians and geographers.
