The Growth of Ancient RomeIn this article I am going to talk about Ancient Rome. The ancient Romans are world famous. At least I don't think anyone would have ever heard of it. Everyone would probably have heard that the Romans were very dominant and very powerful in their time. And of course, the details are not known to all except those who have studied their history. In the following paragraphs, I would like to briefly introduce Rome and how it was formed, its eminent events and the process of its rise and decline. The Romans played a big role in history and modern times. The Romans were a very dominant race for several centuries. They began their territorial expansion around 753 BC. covered most of the “Great Britain, Europe, Mediterranean Islands and North Africa” area (history.com, 2013). Their population also reached between 50 and 90 million. During their history, they have used many languages since the area they cover included several, such as French, Romanian, Italian, Portuguese and some other European languages. They are also the originators of the world's major religion, known as Roman Catholic. Four hundred and fifty years later, a republic Rome became an empire under the powerful leadership of Julius Caesar, but was ultimately deposed in the 1st century BC. Then there was another pink emperor, his name is Augustus. He founded a very superior, peaceful and wealthy Roman kingdom.
