Computer systems are vulnerable to cyberattacks and hackers. The intention of these criminals is to get their hands on confidential information that the criminal can use to their advantage. It's also easier to accidentally send an email to the wrong people who the message wasn't intended for. This can allow private information, for example a plan to take over a bankrupt company, to fall into the hands of this information and use it to outbid the original company. Additionally, individuals are more likely to return a misdelivered letter as unread, rather than an unread letter.
