So, this begins to bring us into a modern, common America; where the reactions of the American people are to somehow find common ground among themselves and give power to celebrities and support someone with a similar lifestyle and beliefs to help to give this group of citizens a voice and the possibility of possibly changing in order to change something; this has also been used in reverse when a powerful person seeking more support would become familiar with and become a celebrity with a specific group. Whether for political, racial, economic, or religious reasons, the American people would idolize someone as their mascot, so to speak. This tactic can be implemented through the actions of the everyday worker, “Sam Patch, a factory worker who, in the 1820s, became America's first professional daredevil.
