    When confronted and asked to leave, the children said they had no place else to go. How could Baca simply turn away from these children, when in reality he was one of these children, homeless and without purpose. To help young children, he sets up a makeshift house in a local church and allows the children to spend a few nights off the streets for the time being. Since then, Baca has created numerous workshops with young people in difficulty to try to help them change their lives. It helps that Baca is a troubled teenager because he can relate to the kids better, because he understands their problems and what they struggle with in everyday life. Her last layer of skin allowed her to connect with young people and use her gift of poetry to help those in difficult situations.
