The Rush of InventionsIn the late 1800s, there was a period of great change. It was near the end of the Industrial Revolution in America. Some of the greatest inventions were invented during this time. We still use most inventions today, they are just modified to meet the needs of today's America. Three of the major inventions and innovations of this era were the telephone, the typewriter, and the incandescent light bulb. The telephone is said to have been invented by Alexander Graham Bell, some critics believe the real inventor was a man named Elisha Gray. . After much debate, it is now generally believed that Alexander Graham Bell invented the first telephone. Inspired by his deaf parents, he wanted to invent something that people could use easily and would be easy to access. So he worked day and night on his invention for several days. Finally, he got the perfect thing he was looking for. He had finally invented a device to hear human voices using technology. On March 7, 1876, after all the hard work of Alexander G. Bell, he patented his great invention....
