This experience provided an opportunity to learn more about clients' needs and the different perspectives of mothers. This activity helps me put into practice everything I learned during my first semester in occupational therapy. I also had the opportunity to review the clients' files before each session, which helps me understand why the therapist chooses the activities she plans for each client; what was really interesting was learning about the process of getting insurance approval and the different legislations; and how a small error when submitting documents for approval can prevent the client from receiving the help they need; and all other components related to this process.
