    Mr. Borg is a retired postman who lives at home with his wife. He has been retired for 10 years now. He and his wife recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They have two middle-aged sons who don't live locally and have to fly in to see them. They are members of the local Baptist church and attend regularly. Mr. Borg's wife reports that he smoked a pack of cigarettes a day for about 32 years, but quit smoking about 20 years ago. His wife reports that he consumes two to four alcoholic drinks per day and spends most of his time sitting in front of the television. Retired for 10 years, Mr. Borg leads a very sedentary lifestyle, has poor eating habits and is on the verge of becoming obese. Ms. Borg also reports that Mr. Borg has gained 40 pounds over the past 10 years. Mr. Borg denies any food or drug allergies. After spending 6 days in intensive care, the patient is currently being transferred from the intensive care unit to the medicine department.
