Essay / Reflection on Angels and Demons - 907
“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, which deceived the whole world: he was cast out to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him” (Revelation 12:9, KJV). In the Old Testament it is taught that demons are enemies of God and have no power. Jesus disarmed them and they have no authority. “You are from God, little children, and you have overcome them; for greater is he that is in you than he that is of the world” (1 Peter 4:4). (words 118) Practical Application of Demons Demons exist and roam the earth trying to destroy God's children. And as followers of Jesus Christ, we must keep in mind that Satan is here and his goal is to capture the weak. “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to resist the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:10-8, KJV). As children of God, we know that Satan exists. According to Etzel, Satan will never stop trying to attack God's believers so that he can declare that, before God, his believers are not worthy of his grace (2015) (206). (words 106)
