Essay / Multiple Roles: Lisa Stewart's Complex Career Journey says it. She basically takes care of all the last minute details and gets everything ready for the day to begin. From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., she is available to give lessons to students. During class, Lisa likes to bring out fresh fruits and vegetables for students to try. She tries to choose relatively inexpensive produce so that students can actually buy the fruits and vegetables. She talks to students about the economics of buying from local farms; how it can benefit the community. Between classes, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., she is available to help with lunch at any of the 16 schools, whether they need someone to help them serve food or something goes wrong and they need his help. If she's not teaching classes or helping serve lunch, she's preparing lunch menus and paying bills for the nutrition program. The end of her day consists of checking emails and tying up last minute details before returning home around 4 p.m. to be with her.
