Having an underutilized brain is like earning a billion dollars, but just hiding that money forever: there are so many opportunities that come with it, but it's worthless because it is never used. René Descartes himself felt this, as he said: “It is not enough to have a good mind. The main thing is to use it correctly. I completely agree with this quote; a mind is the most valuable commodity, but the brain is not employed, it is as useless as a pile of dirt. However, not only must one use one's mind, but it must be in a way that can benefit society. Only then has it really been “used well”. Despite what some may believe, it is not enough to simply be intelligence; you have to use it to make something of yourself. To begin with, when you have a good mind, you must also have ambitions and goals that go with it, if you want to succeed. Those who are smart are capable of doing great things, but without ambitions and goals, there is no reason to go out and accomplish anything. I myself know a man who never set any goals in life, even if he was brilliant. This man was just laid back and enjoying his laurels during his educational journey because he was very intelligent. However, in high school, work started to catch up with him and he quickly failed most of his classes. Yet he was unambitious and had no intention of studying or trying to improve his grades. Today he lives at home with his mother at the age of 25. This man perfectly illustrates that even if you have a good mind, you must put it to good use. it must then be used in a way that will benefit or improve society. Regret often comes middle of paper......this is truly the formula for greatness, and Mr. Descartes knew that anyone gifted with intelligence has the responsibility to achieve that greatness and use their mind . GOOD. Those who do this have the key to unlocking all the untapped potential of their minds, like opening a trunk full of treasures.
