Polonius immediately wants to tell King Claudius, Hamlet's uncle, that Ophelia's refusal of Hamelt has made him mad. He said to Ophelia: “I will go and get the king. It is the very ecstasy of love, whose violent property renounces itself and leads the will to desperate enterprises” (lines 113-116).
