  • Essay / College admissions essay focused on academics,...

I see my life as a series of experiences that build on each other and, through my hard work and my determination, lead to the overall long and short term goals that I have set for myself. In my opinion. There are thousands and thousands of things that affect my life, directly and indirectly, and all of which have varying degrees of influence on me. Three areas of my life that have certainly had a profound impact on me are scholarship, spiritual formation, and service. These three areas have affected me positively and motivated me to pursue higher levels of education and challenged me to set higher life goals. Although I don't know exactly where I will end up in life, I know that if I let myself be guided by my studies, my spirituality, and my service, I will end up where I want to be. College has always been an important part of my life. Since I was a young child, my parents pushed me to lead a good academic life. Throughout elementary school, I had decent grades (usually in the 90s or higher), and I owe that, at least in part, to my parents' determination to give me the best education possible. I also owe it to my desire to be at the top of my academic career. It was naturally pretty easy for me until my senior year of high school. When my senior year came around, I was under a lot of pressure to make many life-changing decisions. When all of this was forced upon me, the last thing I wanted to do was change the way I lived. I liked the way my life was, and leaving home for college wasn't something I felt ready to do. For this reason, I decided to enroll at Genesee Community College, which is about five minutes from my house. For me, it was an escape... middle of paper... allowing me to first have hands-on experience with young children, and also to see the teaching process from the perspective of the from the teacher's point of view as well as from the student's point of view (I have already participated in the same camp). I really enjoyed this experience and will be forever grateful to the Batavia basketball program for allowing me to provide this service to kids. These three areas of life have greatly influenced me in many ways. I am sure that these three areas will continue to have a profound impact on my life in the future. All I can do is continue to live my life as I am, learn from my mistakes, and hopefully improve my life based on what I learn. I would be honored and grateful to have the opportunity to study at Roberts as I believe Roberts will give me an extremely great chance to succeed in my field of study as well as succeed in life..
