    July 16, 1945, fusion was first created artificially, which set in motion the idea that fusion was originally desired by intellectuals. The idea that humanity could fuse atoms together to create energy was the ideal future for fusion and a path to unlimited energy. It's been almost 70 years and humanity has not yet reached the melting point. Humanity has tried for the past 70 years to bring the power source of the sun to Earth and failed, but we have created 3 approaches that will hopefully bring the power of the stars to Earth in the next 30 years: Fusion, inertial confinement and magnetic confinement. Each of them has its own strengths and weaknesses, but one stands out from the other two: inertial confinement. Inertial confinement is the best approach to fusion and will pave the way to energy independence. It is the best because it is closer to ignition than magnetic confinement and cold fusion has not yet provided consistent results in creating a reliable energy source. Understanding the need for fusion energy and examining the biggest changes of the day answer the question for themselves. Between global warming and dwindling global reserves of natural resources, the Earth desperately needs a new energy source that does not create greenhouse gases and is capable of meeting the needs of a growing population for centuries to come. Fusion is a perfect solution for this because it creates no dangerous byproducts and the oceans contain an almost unlimited supply of deuterium that could provide Earth with thousands of years' worth of energy.
