Essay / The Watergate Scandal - 1264
The Watergate Scandal is a political issue that occurred in the United States in the 1970s. On June 17, 1972, a break-in occurred at the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee, in the complex of Watergate offices in Washington, DC. The Nixon administration attempted to conceal its involvement. On the morning of June 17, 1972, two burglars were caught and arrested inside the Democratic National Committee, located in the Watergate building in Washington, DC. This was no ordinary flight. The thieves were linked to US President Richard Nixon's election campaign and were caught trying to tap phones. Thieves who tried to tap the phones were unsuccessful. Other thieves broke into the Watergate building with a new microphone, but a guard noticed they had broken the door locks. The guard called the police as soon as possible, they showed up and caught the crooks red-handed and took them to jail. it wasn't entirely clear that the scammers were connected to President Richard Nixon. They were suspected of being linked to Nixon because detectives found the White House phone number in the spy junk. Later, we realized that the president was not telling the truth. Within days of taking office, President Nixon provided hundreds of thousands of dollars in “hush money” to spies/burglars. Then President Nixon and his aides developed a plan to instruct the Central Intelligence Agency to prevent the FBI's investigation of the crime. This was a more serious crime than the Watergate break-in. This was an abuse of presidential power and a deliberate obstruction of justice. The Watergate scandal was about President Nixon and a few secret agents trying to steal from the secret government in the middle of paper......representatives. Around 1947, Richard Nixon became vice president of the United States of America for Dwight Eisenhower. President Nixon lost his first presidential election to John F. Kennedy. After a year of unrest and two political assassinations. Richard Nixon became the thirty-seventh president of the United States on January 20, 1969. Later that year, President Richard Nixon gave a speech entitled The Silent Majority. the speech was in favor of the Vietnam War and he expressed his belief that the majority of the population of the United States of America would support his beliefs, programs and policies. Richard Milhous Nixon was vindicated in a rolling re-election. President Richard Milhouse Nixon was sworn in for another term. Richard Nixon is still one of the most famous presidents of the United Nations, even though there have been many conspiracies about him..
