    Being a sign language teacher at high school or university seems to me to be a very broad subject. The more I think about it, the more profound it seems. I don't think it's set in stone that I want to become a sign language teacher, but I think it would be a good foundation, so if I wanted to do a different field I could do it easily. I'm sure there is a lot of work to be done to be able to become a sign language teacher. I must have the ability to work in all kinds of environments, whether at school, at work and in everyday situations. as being fully informed in my special field. I must be able to convey my message clearly and effectively. I must also be highly involved in the community and “develop the skills and cultural norms necessary to function effectively within the Deaf community” (Proposed Standards). I need applied linguistics, training in child development and learning, teaching and leadership skills.
