  • Essay / A love story - 676

I met her two years ago and we didn't have much to say at that time. Little did I know that she would later steal my heart and become an intimate part of my life. As the saying goes “there is someone for everyone at all times in this life” and I was about to find out that this saying was so true. I had a wall built around me and my defense was like a bastion to protect me from all the relationships that came and went over the years. I thought I was supposed to be alone in this old life and that happiness was gone forever. This wonderful woman I'm talking about is Mary Doe, and the joy she gave me has rekindled my hope and faith that maybe I have finally found love and peace within myself. She made me feel like a child and I hold her with loving arms and a smile that seems to never end. It's been so long since I felt this way and I'm finally so happy. I have learned so much from my past and I will never forget the lessons I experienced. Being a child at heart, but still growing older, Mary Doe told me that as long as we are together, we will grow old side by side and enjoy life for as long as we live. I have asked myself many times “why didn’t I settle down as a young man” and now I have the answer. It was time and destiny that we would meet and find love with each other. Am I afraid, just a little, but it's not about losing her, I might add. She is now asleep in bed as I write this and I can barely contain myself seeing her beautiful face as she walks into my home office. Every time I see her it's like it's the first time we've met, and oh how I find that so attractive. Many years passed before we met, but it was well worth the wait, I ass... middle of paper......ask if it was his wish to do so. “Can I take you anywhere,” I asked? “I have nowhere to go for anyone to listen to me or understand me,” she responded. “Would you like to ride my pony and let me take you to a private place on my property that is peaceful and quiet as you think”? Mary Doe said "yes, that would be so nice and I would appreciate it so much." "Nothing and no one will bother you there and will take all the time you need. I will even bring you some groceries so you have some comfort, but it's not like being at home, but you will be comfortable.” “Thank you” she said and we set off towards this oasis, my second home, at least for me. It took us about an hour to get where we were going and as we drove at a slow pace, she was behind me, holding me tight like I was going to leave here and break my promise to get her there..
