Chiropractic care helps keep the body healthy and functioning properly and promotes homeostasis by keeping the spine aligned. There are many nerves in the spine that are directly related to organ systems and body functions. When spinal nerves are compressed by a subluxation, many harmful effects can occur throughout the body. Keeping your back aligned through chiropractic care will significantly improve overall health and well-being. The body is controlled down to the core by the central nervous system. The central nervous system is made up of the brain and spinal cord. These two elements are made up of white and gray matter. The brain, which has gray matter on the outside and white matter on the inside, is responsible for processing information it receives from the nerves and spinal cord, sending responses, and coordinating functions. motors. The spinal cord is located opposite the brain and contains gray matter on the inside and white on the outside. The spinal cord transmits the information or messages it receives from the brain to the body and sends its “research” back to the brain for processing. The spinal cord is surrounded by 33 hollow bones called vertebrae that form at the base of the skull. the back to the sacrum at the bottom. The spinal cord is not a long tube but rather many small hair-like fibers that pass together through openings in the vertebrae.
