    He tried to achieve a sense of order in his life, but he soon discovered that between his lack of desire to be completely order and unpredictability of the world, it was much more difficult than he had assumed. Business meetings couldn't have exact times and Ben didn't need to have a specific location for everything due to his good memory, so he eventually taught himself that sometimes he just had to, “…settle with a defective character in this respect….” (p.145) This could have been the first step in Ben's realization that perfection is almost impossible. But this idea of ​​order has not disappeared; many people, especially in American society, rely heavily on a certain schedule for their entire lives. But a more important idea gained in society through Ben's attempt at order was the idea that the lack of complete order is not a bad thing, because even Benjamin Franklin failed to achieve this order.
