Hindu mythology has some interesting theories about the creation of the Earth and the reincarnation of humans. Hinduism is very different from many other mythologies and has unique key features that set it apart from others. History says that there are more than 330 million gods in Hindu mythology. There are six main gods in Hinduism. Hindus have an interesting belief about what happens to them after death, the afterlife Hindus believe is to be achieved by accomplishing a goal. Hinduism is a unique belief in many gods, the cycle of life and the reincarnation of its people. Hindu mythology has been around for ages; it is the oldest religion in the world. Hinduism was formed through various traditions in 2000 BCE. No single person gets the credit for developing Hindu mythology because a single person did not create it. Hinduism originated in India, where it is most widely practiced today. Hinduism has more than a billion followers and about two-thirds of those people are in India. There are many temples open to worship gods and goddesses. “The needs of the gods would be met by the faithful who must prepare themselves through purification rites to become closer to their god” (Organ, 193). Hinduism is not only the oldest religion but one of the largest, along with Islam and then Christianity. above. In Hindu mythology, a god created the world and represents three people as one. How Hindus believe that the earth was created by one god made up of three gods together, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. Vishnu was rocked by a snake in which he was sleeping, when a loud sound came from nowhere and woke him up where a lotus flower grew from his navel with Brahma in it. Vishnu ordered Brahma to create a world, and so Brahma took pieces of paper from among... others, there are many gods and the afterlife that Hindus believe in is unlike any other.
