    King used repetition. In this paragraph, Dr. King used repetition to reinforce his goal of getting Americans to break the silence. Dr. King said: “We must stop now. I speak as a child of God and brother of the poor suffering in Vietnam. I speak on behalf of those whose lands are devastated, whose homes are destroyed, whose culture is disrupted. I'm talking about the -- for the poor of America who are paying the double price of shattered hopes at home and of death and corruption in Vietnam. I speak as a global citizen, on behalf of the world dismayed by the path we have taken.
