You learn about World War II and the Holocaust in history every year, but do you really understand why? We often stop learning about the war that followed the port of Peral because that's when the United States intervened. But World War II is about more than Pearl Harbor. The Holocaust began with a man named Adolf Hitler. Research shows that Adolf had a bad childhood. Like most boys, he wanted to make his father proud, but when he enrolled in art school, his father was not happy. Even knowing his father would not approve, he applied to art school twice, but was rejected twice before joining the German army for World War I. During the war, Adolf was injured and while recovering, he learned that Germany had surrendered, and this is when he decided to take it upon himself to regain Germany's power. Records show that he first attempted to seize power by force, but failed and was sent to prison. While incarcerated, he wrote a book called "Mien Kampf", which in English means "My Struggle".
