    Multiple threats and attacks against agencies have pushed all types of businesses to raise the bar on security, thanks to laws that have come into effect. The reality is that “a significant number of business leaders do not have confidence in their organization's level of preparedness – in part due to a lack of cybersecurity knowledge within organizations” (New Study Provides Cybersecurity Insight for Corporate Counsel, 2015). Some of these laws specifically target certain areas, such as the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act of 2015. Information sharing between businesses has shown a significant increase in cybersecurity preparedness. Not only did these companies report that they were able to defend against new attacks similar to previous ones, but they also gained more knowledge on how to legally and correctly manage certain cybersecurity.
