Essay / The Importance of Verbal Communication - 752
Communication is made up of two central categories, verbal and non-verbal communication. Listening, understanding and consistency are major components of the verbal aspect of communication. Additionally, eye contact, gestures, proximity and speech, such as speech tempo, voice pitch and intonation contours, which can be used to communicate attitudes or other nuances of meaning, are all essential elements of the non-verbal aspects of communication. I think good grammar and communication skills are important. People use these two elements every day to communicate. Some of the most important reasons for knowing and using good grammar are knowing how to communicate in written texts such as emails, messages, and notes. We communicate through written words in our daily lives. We use the written word in places such as work and school. Kyle Wiens says “your words are all you have.” When we speak, we show our level of intelligence so projecting ourselves clearly is very important. Good grammar shows how organized and careful you are, especially in your thoughts and the meaning of what you say. If you know what you are going to say before you say it, then you can be assured that you will successfully complete your task in the workplace. Good grammar also means listening effectively to your interlocutor because this shows the seriousness of what you want to say. Following these rules of good grammar will ensure good grammar in writing and speaking. My profession is sociologist. A sociologist is someone who studies human social life. They study behavior, interactions between groups, organizations and nations. I will need strong communication skills to succeed in this profession......work environment......completing minor to complex tasks. It's important to be able to relate the information you think of to others. In order to communicate better, it is very important to incorporate these elements when communicating. Working to improve communication skills is necessary to better prepare professionals for the challenges they will encounter in their daily interactions with people. Although a professional cannot be expected to become an expert in many multicultural concepts, perhaps taking the time to improve their knowledge of good communication can make them more successful in life.
