The process approach is very useful in English language arts, as I have now experienced, the inclusion of multiple edits, drafts, evaluations and peer reviews (not necessarily in this order) forced me to think about my work. more than I would if I focused on creating a product for a mission. This process allowed me to explore my own writing as well as the flexibility of writing and the writing process in general. Personally, I've never been overly concerned with audience or purpose when writing, and as such, I've instead chosen to focus on the concept of sharing. Sharing in class is beneficial because it gives students a different perspective on their work and a fresh perspective. Sharing with peers feels less forced than sharing with a teacher and is less worrying, because peers tend to focus more on inquiry and wonder, while teachers worry about assessment and value.
