INTRODUCTIONThe gas discharge visualization (GDV) technique was developed by Konstantin Korotkov at St. Petersburg State Technical University in the 1990s (Korotkov, 1998). The first GDV camera was manufactured in 1995; subsequently, hundreds of such cameras were produced and developed into new models. GDV cameras are used in 64 countries (Kostyuk, 2011). The GDV camera is based on the well-known Kirlian effect (Korotkov, 2002) and uses modern optics, electronics and computer processing to analyze the electronic photon emission of various subjects called GDV grams. GDV-grams are obtained by the application of a pulsed electromagnetic field and make it possible to identify the functional state of an individual in real time. The GDV-gram based on the Kirlian effect occurs when an object is placed...... middle of paper ......V, Kovelkova, MN, Strychkov, P. V, & Yakovleva, EG (nd).
