  • Essay / Living a jubilant life - 653

I believe in loving myself for who I am, as well as keeping a pure mind when facing the world and all that it has to offer. Enjoying the little things in life, never giving up on your dreams and hopes and giving everything 100% are goals that I tend to live by every day. Love, happiness and knowledge are all essential for living a jubilant life. Knowledge is power. With knowledge, you actually have power over things. How you apply your knowledge to life determines the type of power you have. Knowledge is the grease and fuel of a machine, without both nothing can be done. As we seek knowledge, our minds search and wander to grasp the concepts that will keep us educated. The first step is to acquire knowledge. According to philosophers, there are two ways to acquire knowledge. These two paths pass through reason and through sensory experience. An individual first seeks his knowledge through his own mind and logic. As individuals, we need to ask ourselves if we have knowledge. Sure, there are things we all get information about, but how do we get there? Epistemology, the philosophical study of knowledge, examines how we seem to know things. How we attain knowledge is a mind-boggling question. Philosophers have been trying to find and search for an answer for decades. We value knowledge simply because it helps us succeed and achieve our goals as human beings. However, knowledge helps us to better understand the world and how to live in it. When you start educating yourself, you learn new things that others are not aware of. When you have the upper hand in things, you tend to make better decisions and create smarter thoughts to improve your life. As you improve your life, knowledge gives the power to impart knowledge... middle of paper ... the gathered individual gains knowledge gracefully through daily conversations, actions and thoughts. Socrates once said: “True knowledge exists in knowing that one knows nothing.” I disagree with this quote and statement. I believe that there is nothing to be humiliated by being aware of the fact that we know little. This marks the beginning of a learning experience. Being aware of knowledge and its importance is certainly a necessity. Knowledge can never be taken away from an individual. Once thoughts, new ideas and values develop in an individual's mind, they cannot be torn away. The way you see the world depends on your own deep perception. The more you learn about the world, the more insight you have. These are basic elements for learning new things. Soon you will realize that the continuous quest for knowledge is one of the pillars of your victory and happiness..
