One of the major lifestyle changes that can take place and have a big effect on your quality of life is the social relationships you establish and the social support you receive. Social support is one of the most important types of social influences in exercise. Social support is the comfort, assistance, and caring information that a person receives from others. Many studies have been done on how social support improves exercise and inspires more people to be active. The more emotional support a person received, the more likely they were to adhere to an exercise program. Whether it's the support of family, doctor, instructors, or even other exercisers in the group providing support, it helps motivate a person to continue exercising. Without this support, a person might give up exercising a day after the program. All this support from different people helps create a positive feeling in the participant about the exercise. Once this is done, a person can continue to exercise and improve their quality of life to the best of their ability.
