Nephilim are generally known as giants and descendants of spiritual beings along with humans. They are primarily described in Genesis of the Bible and have been misunderstood and misinterpreted over the years. Theologians, scientists, and Christians have come up with various theories about who the Nephilim really are and where they come from. Because of these distinct beliefs on this controversial topic, religions around the world, including different cultural contexts such as Greek mythology, have taken the Nephilim and adapted their understanding and interpretation of Nephilim identity scriptures to their own. own doctrines. Understanding who the Nephilim really were can help us better understand Creation, God, and the spiritual world around us. The Nephilim are first introduced in the book Genesis of the Bible. God had already created the universe, the earth and human beings. The first appearance of the Nephilim took place during the time of Noah. Genesis chapter five describes Adam's descendants, which contains Adam's sons, grandsons, and relatives. The Bible gives a good picture of the family lineage that came from Adam and how these people began to multiply, thereby increasing their population. They began to form clans and tribes which spread across the land. Genesis chapter six begins by describing the wickedness and wickedness of man on earth. This is where we find another type of people called the “Nephilim”. The word “Nephilim” is translated as “giants” in Hebrew. It is derived from the word “nephal” which means fallen.
