Essay / The digital age: the development of science and...
With the development of science and technology, our lives rely much more on digital products than in previous decades. What has the digital age brought to people? Digital activities help us in many areas, from daily life to scientific research and from automated production to academic learning. We can get timely information from all over the world through the Internet; we can shop online at home instead of going out; We may also trade with others using trading software. If we live without digital activities, what would life be like? It would not be efficient or practical for us to stay in touch with our friends without a cell phone. However, everything has two sides. The digital age has a great influence on people's communication. They talk less and make friends online. They alienated the relationship in real life. It is obvious that the digital age brings advantages and disadvantages to relationships between people. According to “Born Digital: Understanding the First Generation of Digital Natives,” John Palfrey and Urs Gasser explain that “all are digital natives.” They were all born after 1980; they all have access to networked digital technologies; they all have the skills to use pipe technologies. » He explains that “digital natives” who study, work and interact with each other are different from our old style. They meet friends online instead of in person and listen to music online rather than on a CD player. For these reasons, I consider myself a “digital native”. I remembered being a middle school student when I had my first digital experience. It was in my computer class, my computer teacher taught us what computer is and how to access the internet...... middle of paper ...... properly we will certainly benefit greatly.
