  • Essay / Competitive Analysis of Pepsi - 733

Over the past two years, Pepsi has outperformed its competitors through the introduction and innovation of non-carbonated drinks. They have made significant gains in market capitalization, driven in part by non-carbonated beverages, and continue to outpace their competitors. The stock continued to rise throughout this period. This stock would be considered a stable stock. Furthermore, during the same two-year period, Coca-Cola continued to show growth in the same non-carbonated beverage sector and maintained a strong position in the carbonated beverage sector. The stock continued to grow year after year. In conclusion, based on product offerings, acquisitions, and the ability to diversify into other industries to find growth, the big winner would be Pepsi. As much as I would like to admit it, they are clearly in control of their company and the product lines they offer. Pepsi will continue to grow and find new ways to expand its business. Coca-Cola, on the other hand, has a strong hold on the soft drink segment of the industry and continues to outperform the market. However, without new growth in new subsections of this industry, Coca-Cola will slowly lose ground. The market is moving towards healthier products and fresh refreshment offerings. For these giants to continue to control their potential markets, they will have to expand their offerings.
