    In today's society, a family can be defined as "a group of individuals linked by kinship, affection, dependence or trust” (Saskatoon Health Region, 2013). With the growing population and diversity of families in today's clinical settings, family-centered care has become an essential component of nursing care. The idea of ​​family-centered care involves collaboration and communication between health professionals and family to enable mutual decision-making regarding patients' health. (Wright and Leahey, 2009). To facilitate family-centered care, Wright and Leahey (2009) suggest a 15-minute interview as a structured and effective assessment tool to gather detailed information from a family. The 15-minute interview is based on the Calgary Family Assessment Model (CFAM) and the Calgary Family Intervention Model (CFIM), which allow for in-depth assessment and formulation of nursing interventions for a family. Using these two methods, I interviewed a family who had a member living with fibromyalgia. The interview with the Graf family took place in a community setting. The 15-Minute Interview Wright and Leahey (2009) developed the 15-Minute Interview as a tool for identifying family needs, concerns, and strengths. The interview includes five key elements, including manners, therapeutic conversation, a genogram and ecomap, therapeutic questions, and praise (Wright & Leahey, 2009). The conversation that develops during the family interview is time-limited but useful because it brings out important information to discuss.
