    In “The Harmful Effect of the Five Paragraph Essay” written by Kimberly Wesley, Wesley explained that there was an assigned essay of five to seven pages . The student Wesley mentioned was having trouble understanding how to fit the five-paragraph essay into her assignment. Many students face this problem throughout their college years and even though teachers started out teaching an excellent method of organization, students were still missing some form of information. Students at all levels faced different problems than others, especially if they were taking remedial or advanced courses. At first, students are all taught in a certain way, but when more options are presented to them, each begins to learn differently. For example, in the case of dual enrollment, the student receives instruction at the college level to better understand how to write a well-organized essay before attending college; however, a student in a remedial course or a regular course does not know quite the same thing. In the case of dual enrollment, the student learns a little more than students who do not take the same course, perhaps because dual enrollment students learn the research articles and the content of their writings, but not all students take an AP course; therefore, very few students learn the strategy necessary to help them progress easily once enrolled in
