Essay / Similarities and Similarities Between Dante and Prufrock
Prufrock became a coward as the poem A Love Song unfolded more and more and while at first Dante seemed wise, he turned out to be prideful and treacherous. Prufrock, throughout the poem, was simply trying to communicate his undying love to the woman he cared about. But he was too afraid to express his feelings on the table. In the poem, he begins to justify his inaction by saying that he has done many things in his life, such as drinking a lot of coffee and surviving many days, and that he has many other things to worry about in his life, just trying to justify. that he never came alive and never asked the important question. Likewise, Dante lived a life he could be proud of, but one of his most terrible actions in Clark 4 was thinking he could outsmart God by justifying his behavior. Dante essentially committed war crimes, but he did so knowing that he would come to God and repent. This is not true repentance because he thought God should have given it to him anyway. Dante was just looking for an excuse to cover up the negative and ugly aspects of himself and his past. Clearly, Prufrock and Montefeltro were immoral men because they both lied to each other to conceal who they really were; Prufrock was a coward who was afraid to initiate love and Dante was a liar who was afraid of his intentions.
