Essay / Art Teacher as a Career - 654
If I had to choose a career, I would want to be a college art teacher. An art teacher teaches students how to express themselves in a favorite medium such as painting or sculpture. I'm sure teaching art would hone my skills in the medium I enjoy, drawing portraits with charcoal or ink. Like most teachers, art teachers are generally experienced in their chosen field. I think all educators should not only know what they teach, but also know how to do what they teach. A mathematics teacher must be trained in mathematics to be able to teach them, a football coach must have immense experience in the sport so that he can teach his players to a professional level. Being an art teacher would be my dream job because I would be able to work with the next generation of young people so I could influence them and teach them my views on art. There are a number of training courses and certifications that you must complete. in order to start teaching art in a college environment. Most universities require at least a master's degree in fine arts in a particular field such as fashion or graphic design. However, most professors obtain a doctorate in a certain field so that they can obtain a position and hold a secure position at a university. A tenure is a permanent employment contract for a professor, which for most people lasts about six or seven years. If an art professor has tenure, he or she cannot be fired without reasonable cause, and he or she may be more likely to present more ideas that might be considered controversial. Even though it takes a long time to become a full professor, I feel that it is worth all the time and effort one must sacrifice to obtain a tenured position and also some form of seniority to other professors. paper......these things to gain this position. Hard work and dedication can only push me towards the finish line of life. Ultimately, the picture to me is that cost is less than value. I will gain stability, financial assurance and even some luxuries that life could offer me. This is a monumental reward for my action in improving myself in the sophisticated career of an art teacher.ReferencesArt Teacher Careers | Art teacher as a career. (nd). TheArtCareerProjectcom.
