This unprecedented rise in costs has led to an avalanche of problems for young and middle-aged adults. Due to high student loan debt, graduates are being forced to move back in with their parents, fewer young people are becoming homeowners, they are delaying their retirement savings, and they are dropping out of college at an alarming rate of nearly fifty percent. . With all the controversy surrounding the topic of rising college costs, the revised Income-Driven Repayment program was created to help borrowers repay their student loans based on their income. Being forced to return home after graduating from college is one of the many obstacles students face. while getting used to the new debt they inherit after school. Imagine, after graduating from high school, the excitement one must feel to finally be away from the watchful eye of mom and dad birds. I went to college to live on my own, to have the freedom to be an adult and make decisions as such. If you are lucky enough to be one of those who successfully complete the four years of higher education with a diploma, evidence of long nights, dedication and hard work, great rewards are expected, won't it? not ? This is false, many students in modern society will face a harsh reality and be tied to the nest from which they took flight four years ago. Student loans will become the new chain that holds them captive to their parents.
