Among Durkheim's theories, he also used data from other researchers like Henery Morselli. Durkheim's and Morselli's data led to different conclusions because Morselli combined madmen and idiots as insane. Contrary to Durkheim's findings, Morselli mentions that suicides are more likely to occur in the countryside than abroad.
