He stopped to rest, panting like a dog, tongue sticking out, breathing heavily. He then walked heavily as if he still had the chain and ball attached to his foot. He then found an oak tree nearby and sat across the tree. He then released the dog and untied the lasso from its mouth. The dog and Shi slept next to each other for 5 hours and when they woke up it was dark. It was darker than dark. It was black. There were no street lights on, or houses on, or anything other than cars passing by, but that was very rare. Shi put the lasso made of socks back on the dog, picked it up and walked around town. There was a big clock tower in the middle of the city hall and it said 3:00 in the morning. Shi thought it was supposed to be bright and sunny outside, but instead it was dark and cold. Shi didn't know how to tell time either. Shi was cold just staying there in winter, so he wanted to go somewhere warm. He thought a nearby store would be open so he could stay there, then he heard a loud pounding sound. It sounded like someone was saying the word "bump" very, very quickly. Then a huge spotlight shone on Shi and the dog. A loud voice came from the spotlight and said, “YOU ARE ARRESTED; PLEASE LEAVE THE DOG AND COME WITH US! When Shi heard this, he ran.
