    (Voorhees, CCW, Vick, J. and Perkins, DD, 2007) In this study, researchers found that journalists presented African Americans and Caucasians in different ways very different. For example, images/videos were only shown of same race helping same race or white people helping black people, but never black people helping white people. (Voorhees, CCW, Vick, J. and Perkins, DD) Voorhees, Vick and Perkins also mentioned that there were images of African Americans carrying supplies out of buildings who were described as "looters", as well that very similar images of Caucasians were doing the exact same thing, except they were labeled as "searching for supplies". These differences in the representation of African Americans and Caucasians are important to this study because they help identify that there is a problem in media coverage relating to race.
