  • Essay / The Extremities and Consequences of Starting a Boutique - 655

The type of store created was a boutique selling accessories, jewelry, and shoes. The location of this store would be in the city and would cater to women who like to wear accessories but don't spend a lot of money. The shop is also small but with an open space inside. The store's branding is classic, girly and elegant. Indeed, the brands sold must resemble what they want to represent. The target market mainly focuses on middle and upper middle class women. The most targeted age group is women aged eighteen to twenty. This is due to the merchandise the boutique has to offer, such as the type of shoes and jewelry that age would gravitate towards. For the store price, it is moderate. The reason is that the target market is aimed at the middle to upper middle class and takes into account the amount the target market will spend. The reason is that the cost of the area within the city comes into play. This is because the city has higher prices than the suburbs, so few customers would want to pay for expensive goods. The walls of the store are two black chrome walls and then at the back of the store the wall is blue. Then the wall the cashwraps are on is white. For black chrome walls, this creates a focal point for customers to draw their attention to the bright blue wall in the back where the shoe display is located. In addition, the black chrome matches the brand image of the store, classic and elegant. The white color of the wall near the cash registers was chosen to add brightness to the room since there are two black walls on the sides. Then the floor is chrome white marble to create an elegant feel for the medium...... middle of paper...... what suited the shop best was the spotlights and point source. This specific lighting was chosen to target specific merchandise that would draw attention to the target market. The general layout of the store provides enough open space so that the consumer is not cluttered with merchandise on the floor. Then there are enough merchandise arranged on the sales floor to attract the target market, such as in the shoe wall which is near the blue wall, then there are shelves hung against the walls. There is also a focal point in the middle of the store with tables that will display some of the shop's popular merchandise. Then the cashwrap sits near the door, allowing consumers to purchase their goods and leave. In addition, the store's colors target both young people in their twenties and older people, without being excessively girly but just the right amount of elegance..
