    IntroductionInitially, media was mainly used for educational and informational purposes. However, over time this boundary has become blurred, as today media is also used as entertainment. Perhaps one of the most significant events in media history was the invention of television. Subsequently, in less than a decade, from 1946 to 1955, television was part of the homes of 65% of Americans. Singaporean novelist Jess C. Scott said: “People are sheep. Television is the shepherd. (Literary heroine (gluttony): a parody of Twilight, 2012). It's unfortunately true, the younger generation today is obsessed with television. Statistics show that the time spent watching television by young people aged 8 to 18 increased from 3.8 to 4.5 hours per day between 1999 and 2009. (Rideout, Foehr and Roberts, 2010). About twenty years ago, a new medium was created: the Internet, which led to the formation of social media. Over the past decade, the Internet has rapidly found its place in the leisure activities of media consumers; the number of people with an Internet connection at home increased by 544% during the aforementioned period (Internet usage and global population statistics are as of June 30, 2012). Society and the media are above all linked to each other. Furthermore, not only is society affected by mass media, but media content, in turn, is shaped by society and its counterparts. The largest impacts come from political, economic and technological factors. Overall, these aspects indicate what to include in media content and what means to use for its distribution. PoliticsMedia content is closely linked to government and legislation. The government controls the media through censorship and other possible policies and regulations. In Uzbekistan, technological advancements did not have as much impact on media until 2010, as it took time for media companies to exploit the Internet as a medium.
