There are two types of people in this world. No, not the artists and observers as Britney Spears so kindly pointed out, but rather; followers or leader. There are many styles in which a leader can lead a certain group of followers. The two most popular, common, and studied leaders are transformational and charismatic leaders. Transformational and charismatic leadership styles are widely known among philosophers. But which is the most effective? Transformational leadership style is definitely better than charismatic leadership style, especially when dealing with and leading a group of people or an organization. The three ways to prove this are to study the differences between each style in how they affect their followers, their main goal when working with a group of people or an organization, and their methods for empowering their followers. There are many types of leadership styles in this world and each has different directions and goals. Transformational and charismatic leadership styles also differ. Transformational leaders tend to focus on the task at hand. They are very good at staying on task and keeping their eye on a goal that will benefit the organization and its followers. Changing Minds, a very resourceful website on different leadership styles, states that "...[a] transformational leader will accept that there will be failures and blind canyons along the way." As long as they feel progress is being made, they will be happy. Through this quote, we can see that these types of leaders are highly focused on achieving a goal that is for the good of the organization and their followers.
