Essay / Love in the novel 50 Shades of Love about teenagers - 1924
50 Shades of Gray demeans girls and allows the man to control the relationship. Gray is a wealthy man who takes control of a student named Anastasia. Gray has the girl under his spell, she can't let him go as much as she tries. Gray always finds a way to get her back. I would say the relationship they have is an abusive relationship. Gray tells the girl that she can't roll her eyes or he will spank her or punish her in some way. The girl accepts it, which allows Gray to do whatever he wants with her. Gray asks Anna to sign a document on what to do, what to eat and what to wear. On pages 105 and 106, Gray tells Anna, “read these rules and let’s discuss them.” Gray wrote a document that stipulated obedience, sleep, food, clothing and exercise. Gray controls Ana in every aspect of her life. Girls need to know when the relationship is worth staying or when the man is worth leaving. The other point of view on 50 Shades of Gray is that of the guys. 50 Shades of Gray gives guys some good direction. In the novel, Gray abuses the girl. If a man sees this, he will end up thinking that it's okay to do the same thing with his girlfriend. This is where violent men come into play in society. Gray tells Ana on page 119, “You’re mine,” he whispers. “Only mine.” Don't forget it. Gray makes sure no one has Ana like him. Gray isn't really a romantic guy for any girl, but for Ana, he has this different feeling towards her. An abusive relationship ends in a crime which then ends up in prison. That's what they didn't write in the novel. They made it seem like everything was okay and nothing bad could ever happen. Gray didn't really show a negative side when the girl refused, he seemed to have tons of patients. If the author gave Gray a bad side, the novel would change completely. It's not just about what happened in the relationship between the two of them. Kids would take it one way and end up doing it the right way.
