Essay / Human Impact on Global Climate Change - 726
Human impacts on global climate change continue to accumulate. Data indicates that the Earth's surface temperature is increasing. This increase can be attributed, in part, to the increase in greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide, caused by humans. It is becoming clear that these climate changes are negatively affecting physical and biological systems around the world. Carbon dioxide and other pollutants result from burning coal to produce electricity. Electricity produced at power plants is transported by power lines to users, sometimes hundreds of kilometers away. The burning of gasoline by automobiles releases carbon dioxide and other types of air pollution that contribute to global climate change. Man-made pollution is usually caused in large and large cities. Human measurements of the atmosphere have been recorded for 140 yearsChristy Richardson: or more. Scientists can estimate measurements to predict what the rate of global warming will be in the near future. Humans release a lot of carbon monoxide and pollute the atmosphere, and in big cities where there are a lot of cars, pollution is everywhere in that city. Human activities contribute to climate change by causing changes in the Earth's atmosphere in the amounts of greenhouse gases, aerosols and cloud cover. Good changes in the Earth system in the face of global climate change depend on the balance between energy entering and leaving the planetary system. When incoming solar energy is absorbed by the Earth system, the Earth can become warmer. When the sun's energy is reflected into space, the earth avoids warming up, when the energy is released into space, the earth cools. Many factors, both natural and human, can cause changes in Earth's energy, as in the case of change...... middle of paper ...... armament, when energy is released in space, the earth cools. Many factors, both natural and human, can cause changes in Earth's energy, such as changes in greenhouse gases, variations in solar energy, changes in the reflectivity of the atmosphere and of the earth's surface. The impacts of human activity on global climate change continue to accumulate. Data indicates that the Earth's surface temperature is increasing. This increase can be attributed, in part, to the increase in greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide, caused by humans. The impact of human activity on global climate change continues to mount.
