  • Essay / A reflection on my writing and analytical skills

This is because the three assignments accounted for 65% of my total grade, excluding the annotated bibliography. These assignments would change my grade in seconds after my teacher decided what grade to give me for each essay. Considering this factor, I had spent most of my time writing these papers and trying to write them as best as I could in order to get a good grade in the course. Another reason why I would remember this aspect of English 102 is that this is where I also received feedback from my peers and my professor to help me improve my writing skills. Listening to what my peers had to say about my essay and reading the comments my professor wrote on my assignments, I finally understood by the end of that class. I gradually received better grades for each essay, ending with a 90% for Public Argument which was my best. On the other hand, thinking about it now, I think that if I had started my homework further in advance, I could have started this semester with better grades on each assignment and possibly ended the year with a " A” in English.
