In the first premise, he states that humans are the only things capable of doing anything besides the necessary; This is an accurate statement in that we consciously have a choice and are able to weight outcomes based on these different choices. This is true in that humans are able to decipher what will happen in optional scenarios, allowing them to make the choice to act in a way that could potentially influence or positively affect reality. This argument is compelling because it takes into account all other options in a given scenario and removes them. This argument is consistent with my own beliefs, because I sincerely believe that if you always put yourself in the most optimal position, it will be easy to make a choice that can have a positive impact on the situation.
