It's not even about trying to create a catchy sentence to draw you into my writing or a strong thesis that will set up the rest of the essay. But it's just about trying to get my brain into writing mode and what I mean by that is that once I'm able to write a few sentences, I can focus on what I'm doing. write. But I learned during this quarter that when I'm stuck and unable to get the first few sentences down on paper, I just have to write. Instead of sitting at my desk and wondering how to start my essay. I have to force myself to write about anything, it doesn't have to make sense as I write it, just writing down those first words will allow my creativity to turn into something.
